180 shades of Organic Chalkboard Paint by Ecos
I’m a huge fan of Ecos Organic Paints and have featured images from their Artisan range previously. Adore their wide range of colours and paint types, from gloss to masonry and I’m especially thankful for the fact that their natural paints have no nasty toxic chemicals so we can all breath easy from the moment the paint goes up.
With health and design in mind, I was thrilled to discover that Ecos have produced a chalkboard paint that’s organic, natural, and healthy AND available in 180 colours!
More than a trend, chalkboard paint is a utilitarian must-have in a busy household, especially one with children, and it’s particularly important that children aren’t exposed to the harmful toxins that are found in regular paints. Big-brand paints continue to pump out VOCs (volatile organic compounds) for as long as the paint is on the wall.
It’s great to know that chalkboards don’t have to be black. Chalkboard paint from Ecos Organic Paints is available in their full palette of 180 colours, meaning you can match your chalkboard surface to the rest of your home, whether it’s upcycling a kid’s room dresser, or creating an evolving gallery wall to doodle on.
Ideal for keeping track of recipes on a kitchen splashback, letting the little darlings run wild with the chalk, or expressing yourself artistically by using the wall as a sketchpad, Ecos Chalkboard Paint is the perfect solution to unleash creativity around the home.
Hardwearing and easy to clean, ordinary pavement chalk can be used then easily wiped away, perfect for quick notes, shopping lists, or for kids to let rip with their artistic imaginations.
I painted Home Arty Home Towers in Ecos Organic Paints and am grateful for the fact they exist as I’m highly sensitive to regular paints with VOCs. I can smell regular paints at 200 yards and they make me physically nauseous (can’t type the word “nauseous” without thinking of one of Woody Allen’s neurotic characters), whereas Ecos Organic Paints don’t smell of anything, going up for the first time or for years to come. They’re seriously hardwearing (seven years on and the walls still look fresh) and will be planning to paint one office wall in the chalkboard paint to use as a large notepad/wipe-board/to-do list.
From £28 a litre, the chalkboard paints are available in 180 colours direct from the Ecos Organic Paints website.
