Mini Moderns Dungeness Wallpaper
One of our favourite home decor brands, Mini Moderns have added to their already impressive range of wallpapers with the new Hinterland range.
For decades, Dungeness has been a source of inspiration for artists, from Eric Ravilious to Derek Jarman, and has featured as a distinctive location for films, music videos and television dramas. The landscape and the surrounding countryside has now become the inspiration for the Mini Moderns 2014 collection, entitled ‘Hinterland’. This is the first print from the new collection which is launching at the Home London trade show this Sunday.
Having spent the last year renovating a converted railway carriage on Dungeness Beach, Mini Moderns didn’t have far to look for inspiration for their latest wallpaper design. In fact, they just had to step out of the door and survey the captivating landscape and structures that surround them.
The resulting wallpaper features a mass of shingle, punctuated by illustrated vignettes of quaint cabins, lighthouses, and fishing boats rendered in their signature illustrative style. Each roll is £50 and will be available in the five colourways featured in the gallery images above: Washed Denim, Chalkhill Blue, Concrete, Pale Verdigris and Coach Emerald.
We love Mini Moderns’ illustrative style combined with retro styling to create contemporary designs.
